If you know anyone who struggles with Alzheimer’s or Dementia you know the frustration of not being able to find any help. I know, I’ve looked. There are lots of promising studies & treatments on the horizon, but loved ones are suffering NOW! You have also most likely experienced the terror of feeling “this could be me” – we ARE ALL getting older.

This amazing documentary, Alive Inside, was over 3 years in the making and has found a way to awaken many of those who we’ve “lost”. As with many of the miracles in our lives it was discovered almost by accident and I can tell you from first-hand experience it is amazing! So why haven’t you heard about this? Simple; it’s not a prescription that needs to be filled over & over & over; It’s not something that is going to make anybody (aka, Big-Pharma) rich; it is  something YOU can DO TOMORROW that will make difference in the lives of those suffering.

We are bringing this to Big Bear, as thousands of other organizations are to their own communities around the globe, to bring awareness and hope to those struggling with this terrible disease. If you know anyone who cares for someone who’s lost, make sure you bring them to this showing. The Cave, Monday May 4th, 7:00 pm, for free. It will change your life – and theirs -forever.

NOTE: The film is NOT designed for Alzheimer’s victims, it is for those caring for the afflicted.

Back Story:

My fiancé’s mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s several years ago and inside of just a few month she was “gone”. No recognizing family not able to have a real conversation, nothing.

Believing there is no such thing as “no-hope”, I searched exhaustively for help and there just wasn’t any. “Make them as comfortable as possible , make sure they don’t hurt them selves and wait . . .” was the best anyone had to offer.

She was placed on 24/7 care. She continued to worsen and last fall she had stopped walking & eating and was placed on Hospice care and the family was essentially told the end was imminent.

As we prepared for “one last visit” around Thanksgiving, I again scoured the internet and found this film had just debuted at Sundance. We watched it and got inspired and took the steps outlined in the film, with unbelievable results. We received regular updates from a sister living just down the street from Mom and in very short order she began eating, conversing with family members and even going out for lunches with family. She was removed from Hospice earlier this year and last weekend we celebrated her 93rd birthday. She is still a shadow of her former self but the transformation is nothing short of a miracle.

There is no hocus pocus here, no snake oil, no miracle herb, no expensive “remedies”, just a way to reroute the brain to access those lost memories.

We (The Masonic Lodge) are hoping to enlighten the community and enlist everyone to make a difference in the lives of those who have been taken from us too soon.

This is NOT a Masonic project. It is a project for our seniors and it needs everyone’s help.

Nothing would be greater that for EVERY organization to throw their skills, manpower and fundraising abilities into the fray to help everyone who can use it.

Our Goals are to:

  • 1.     Identify those who are suffering
  • 2.     Raise funds to provide equipment to all in need
  • 3.     Help coordinate and organization with music collection & distribution
  • 4.     Do everything we can to help Awaken them – They ARE still Alive Inside.
